ジョーンズ・ホィーラーのサビアン

占星術師 Marc Edmund Jones (1888-1980) はチャルベルの研究に興味を持ち、各度数のシンボルをチャネラーに感知させてみようと考えた。彼の知人にElsie Wheeler (1887-1938) という女性チャネラーがいたので、1925年のある日、彼は360枚の白い紙（裏面の隅に小さく度数を書いている）を持ち、カリフォルニア州サンディエゴの Balboa Park に彼女を連れて行って、360枚の紙をランダムに“度数側が見えないように”彼女に見せ、何が見えたかを尋ね、その内容を急いで各紙にメモした。

こうして得られた360度の象徴は、チャルベルのサインと比較検討した結果、大きくは矛盾していないと判断、ジョーンズはやはり各度数には固有の意味があるのだと確信した。これが今広く知られているサビアンである。正確にはこのシンボルについて研究するために作られた研究会の名前がサビアンである。

サビアンは後にルディアが独自の解釈を加えたものを発表し、そちらが有名になっているが、下記はそのホィーラーかチャネリングしたオリジナル（に近いもの）である。実はジョーンズが聞いた内容を忘れないようにと急いで書き留めたので彼は自分の字が読めず判読した部分が含まれている。
