この歌は日本では一般に「グローリア」または「荒野の果てに」のタイトル
で親しまれています。讃美歌だと思うのですが、作詞者・作曲者などの情報
が分かりません。古い歌だと思いますので、著作権には問題がなかろうとい
うことで掲載しました。「グローーーーーーーーーーーーーーリア」の所は
ブレスができないので、なかなか苦しい。歌唱力のある人にとっては肺活量
の見せどころです。

なお「荒野の果てに」というと「Angels from the Realms of Glory」という
曲もありますが、そちらとは別の曲ですね。


情報を頂きました。讃美歌21の263番だそうです。18世紀の作品で、
Gloria in Excelsius Deo はルカの福音書2-14の言葉だそうです。
